CARTES Secure Connexions Becomes TRUSTECH

Published: 13 November 2015 y., Friday

This 17-19 November at the Paris Nord Villepinte Parc d'Expositions Exhibition Centre the CARTES Secure Connexions 2015 - the world's leading trade show for secure solutions in payment, identification and mobility - will be held for the 30th time already. In 2015 it is changing its name for TRUSTECH.

The event brings together leading developers and suppliers of a wide range of solutions for the card industry - from equipment, components and related products for the production of cards to complex processing solutions. During the congress which is held in parallel with the trade show experts from around the world not only share their experiences but learn about recent innovations related to plastic cards and electronic payments.

Since 30 years, CARTES Secure Connexions has been the world’s leading secure-connections trade event at the intersection of finance, mobile, retail, government, identity and access, telecommunications, transportation and data security sectors. CARTES Secure Connexions is the largest global event bringing together the key decision makers from around the world from the payments, identification and mobility ecosystem. With over 400 exhibitors and some 20,000 attendees every year, the event gathers 3000 CEOs & General Managers, 675 banks and financial institutions, 750 system integrators, 625 card manufacturers, as well as 155 governmental bodies from 50 countries and 180 telecom operators.

CARTES Secure Connexions was founded 30 years ago in order to promote a technology that had just been created: the chip card. Sincethen the world has changed - and multiple new technologies have emerged. So the name TRUSTECH reflects this evolution of the industry. Trust in the security of sensitive data is critical for the development of new applications and uses, in our increasingly connected world. TRUSTECH aims to be the hub of the international secure-connection community, to help market players define future strategies, develop the ways the technologies are used and generate business opportunities.

This year such topics as machinery for the production of cards, personalization, printing, accounting and packaging; engineering (systems, networks, information processing), equipment for data collection (terminals, stamps, readers, smart mobile devices, special equipment) will be discussed.

Special attention will be paid to new trends in payments and telecommunications. In the near future payment, retail and telecommunications - which will have to adapt to mobile payment systems - will face the greatest ever technological change. Among this year's 33 SESAMES Award finalists are Giesecke & Devrient - whose Convego® CloudPay end-to-end mobile payment solution supports all major payment schemes (MasterCard, Visa and AMEX) as well as regional or local payment schemes.
