“Woman of the Year” Award went to the Chairwoman of the Board of the Largest Bank in Kazakhstan

Online magazine “Vlast” has awarded the first winner of “People of the Year” awards in a category “Woman of the Year”. Chairwoman of the Board of AB “Narodny bank Kazachstana” Umut Shayakhmetova who has been holding this position since 2009 became the winner of this award.

“People of the Year 2013” awards are a joint rating of online audience and leaders from various fields. Representatives from the fields of government, politics, finance and business elite are nominees of the awards.

When congratulating the winner and handing the award, Chief Editor of “Vlast” Adili Dzhalilov said: “Umut Shayakhmetova won the award by unanimous vote of both readers of the magazine and a panel of experts. Your victory reflects an attitude towards you as a woman and as a professional in your field. I believe that you are an example for many people”.

Having received the prize, the CEO of “Narodny bank Kazachstana” explained: “The “Woman of the Year” award essentially emphasizes professional characteristics of women. I am extremely pleased to receive this award and feel happy that readers, experts and Internet users voted for me”.
