In the first half of 2014, a group of companies “Penki kontinentai” was profitable

Over the first half of 2014, income of the group of companies “Penki kontinentai” grew by 55.94%, compared to the same period last year, and amounted to LTL 82.93 million. Net unaudited profit of the group amounted to LTL 8.17 million and was two and a half times higher than last year (at the end of the first half of the last year, it was LTL 3.28 million). 

According to Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairman of the Board of the group of companies “Penki kontinentai”, significant growth in turnover was due to successful operation of the group in Central Asia, Eastern Europe and the Baltic region. “Group of companies “Penki kontinentai” supplies its products and provides its services in 67 countries. It holds a leading position in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan and the Baltic region. The main customers of the group are companies operating in the banking and retail trade sectors. In addition to supply and maintenance services for self-service and payment equipment, “.iQ” family of software monitoring and business process management products developed by the group of companies is also in high demand in these regions. Moreover, the company successfully develops outsourcing of IT maintenance services in these countries”, said I. Dadašovas.

“Penki kontinentai” is planning to strengthen its positions in the Middle East markets and look for new opportunities to customize its software and hardware for transport, tourism, healthcare, education and other sectors. It is expected that in 2014-2015, investment of the group of companies will be up to LTL 28 million.

In 2013, income of the group of companies was LTL 126.68 million and its profit amounted to LTL 7.27 million.
