Albania PM wins confidence vote

Albania's new prime minister, Sali Berisha, won a parliamentary vote of confidence at the weekend after pledging that his government would make tackling corruption and organised crime its overriding priority.

The right-of-centre Democratic party and the Republicans won 80 out of 140 seats at a general election on July 3.
