Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has denied Lithuanian claims of the alleged reconnaissance mission of the Su-27 jet that crashed in Lithuania.
“Lithuania doubts that the Russian plane did not trespass its skies on purpose. It thinks it was an inside operation to test [Lithuania’s] air defense system,” Ivanov said. “My only answer would be that we have lost the plane. Only an idiot can do reconnaissance this way.”
