Gitmo's future in doubt

As a presidential candidate and now as President-elect, Barack Obama has made clear that he will close the Guantanamo Bay detention center, which currently holds about 250 alleged terrorists.

 

Whether Obama chooses to try the detainees in a federal civilian trial, a military commission trial or a court martial, he will almost certainly have to take into account both domestic and international public opinion.
