Obama's big ad buy

Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama blanketed the airwaves with an unprecedented 30-minute prime-time political advertisement.

 

Airing on CBS, NBC, FOX, BET, and Spanish-language station Univision, the campaign "infomercial" forced a 15-minute delay in the FOX network's broadcast of Game 5 of the World Series, and was estimated to cost nearly $1 million for each major network.
