Priest abducted in Philippines

Police say an Irish Catholic priest was taken by six gunmen from his home on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao.

According to police, the kidnappers burned the vehicle before boarding a boat that witnesses saw the 78-year-old missionary dragged towards.

Michael Sinnott, has lived in the Philippines for nearly fifty years and is known for his work with abused and abandoned children on Mindanao.
