Remembering the WW1 fallen

Before a two-minute silence at 11 on the 11th day at the Cenotaph in London, wreathes were laid in memory of the fallen 90 years after Armistice Day.

 

France President Nicolas Sarkozy paid tribute to the dead.

In a change of tone on the first Armistice Day without a living French veteran, his tribute included the 600 French soldiers executed for disobeying orders.
