The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states signed several agreement on Monday at the summit of the SCO Prime Ministers in Moscow on 26 October.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation is a regional alliance of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The heads of state of these six countries signed a declaration on its formation in Shanghai on 15 June 2001. Mongolia has an observer status in the organisation.
The aim of the organisation is to stabilise the situation in Central Asia, consolidate friendship and good-neighbourly relations among the member-states, and develop cooperation in the political, economic, scientific and other spheres.
Prime ministers of the SCO signed an agreement on creation of Business Council, which is directed to stir up role of private capital within the organisation.
The sides also inked an agreement on assistance in liquidation of emergency situations and budget of the SCO for 2006.
Prime Minister of Russia Michael Fradkov said that the special working group will be created on cooperation in cosmic and aviation technologies within the organization.
Russian official also said that several pilot projects on creation of transport routes, oil and gas, agriculture and other sector will be implemented in near future.
