Statement by EU High Representative Catherine Ashton on terrorist attack in Somalia

“I condemn the terrorist attack that took place in Mogadishu in Somalia. I extend my sincere condolences to the families and friends of those killed and injured in this unacceptable incident and express once again the European Union's solidarity to the Somali people.

In this regard, the European Union remains fully committed to provide long-term support to the Transitional Federal Institutions of Somalia in their efforts to bring peace and security to the country and to build a stable Somalia”.
