Estonia to reject TeliaSonera's offer for Eesti Telekom

The Estonian government will reportedly reject the Finnish-Swedish telecomms operator TeliaSonera AB's cash offer of EUR500m for the Estonian telecomms operator AS Eesti Telekom, of which TeliaSonera owns 49% and the state 27%.
Estonia's finance minister Taavi Veskimagi reportedly said in a statement that he would propose to the government on Thursday (10 June) that the offer be rejected.
The minister had previously said that the offer was too low but TeliaSonera said that it would not raise its offer, reported the online edition of the Finnish business daily Kauppalehti.
The minister added that the Estonian state was still willing to sell its share if receives a good enough offer.
