Arab-Russian Business Council meetings

An Egyptian trade delegation led by head of the Chambers of Commerce General Federation Khaled Abu Ismail, left for Moscow on Tuesday to attend the fourth session of the Arab-Russian business council meetings.

The meetings will kick off in Moscow on Wednesday and will end on September 4. Ways to promote joint production and trade exchange in the various fields will be highlighted as well.

Abu Ismail, who also heads the Arab side of the meetings, said the parties concerned are keen on enhancing trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Several Egyptian companies will take part in the second Russian-Arab exhibition to be held on the sidelines of the event, he added.

For his part, Head of the Arab-Russian business council Ibrahim Kamel said the meetings will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with a number of top figures in the Russian industry and business sectors.

The development of economic and trade relations between the Arab states and Russia will be high on the agenda of the meeting, Kamel said.
