An association of foreign investors, of the same name, has been established in Moldova, the head of the newly created institution reported. Carmez International, the Lafarge group, Compudava, Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery, Leogrant, Sudzucker Moldova, Tirex-Petrol and Voxtel were the founders of the association. Among members of the newly established association he named Kelley Grains Oil, Kentford Capital Corporation, Moldavian Airlines, PricewaterhouseCoopers and QBE Asito. Members of the association have over 5,000 work positions and invested in the Moldovan economy $185m.
The Association of Foreign Investors has the goal of promoting a dialog between investors and state bodies to improve the business climate and Moldovan competitiveness. The Association of Foreign Investors is to contribute to improving investments climate and boosting foreign direct investments among other goals. The Association will analyze problems preventing Moldova from raising investment money.
