Azerbaijan Oil Product Exports Grew 25% In Seven Months

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) exported 1.236 million tons of petroleum products in the period from January to July, up 25.2% from the same period last year, a company source told Interfax. The company's Azerneftyag refinery exported 733,100 tons of petroleum products, up 47.8% year-on-year, and the Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery (formerly Azerneftyanadzhag), which produces light fractions, exported 503,400 tons of products, up 2.4% year-on-year. SOCAR's biggest exports were diesel fuel at 717,500 tons, gasoline at 187,300 tons, straight run petrol at 33,500 tons, jet fuel at 81,700 tons, motor fuel at 14.6 tons, and fuel oil at 180,700 tons. The two oil refineries have combined capacity for 22 million tons of oil a year. Azerneftyag independently exports its product while the Baku refinery exports through the SOCAR marketing division
