Bernanke sees economic signs of life

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said the outlook for the long-suffering U.S. economy appears to be improving. But Bernanke said that recovery could be at risk because of unemployment – saying that job insecurity, together with declines in home values and tight credit, is likely to limit gains in consumer spending.
