MOST BANK TO GIVE VISA CARDS AS NEW YEAR PRESENTS.

Most Bank intends to issue Visa Electron XXI cards for free in December 1999 and January 2000, and will give MostCard/Cirrus/Maestro cards to all Most Bank cardholders. This was announced by D. Shilakin, head of the bank_s credit cards department, on the air on Echo of Moscow radio. According to Mr. Shilakin, in addition to this cardholders soon will be able to receive information about their bank account status from Most Bank automatic teller machines (ATM_s). In November Most Bank began issuing cash from its ATM_s. As Mr. Shilakin said, Most Bank has already completed tests on the Y2K problem to ensure the safety of payments by credit cards. "There will be no mishaps," he said.
