Within January - March this year, the turnover on the accounts of AB Bank SNORAS payment cards increased by LTL 202 million or 18 per cent and on 31 March this year reached LTL 1.3 billion.

“Understanding the needs of our clients, we endeavour that while using the Bank SNORAS payment card it would be possible not only to make settlements quickly and conveniently, but also to receive additional benefit. The Bank SNORAS customers can also safely save up money on the payment card accounts and to earn interest for their balance. It is delightful that a payment card for most of our clients becomes a habitual and safe settlement means which has replaced cash,” states Deimantė Bareikienė, the director of AB Bank SNORAS Sales Department.

According to D. Bareikienė, Bank SNORAS has an especially wide spectrum of payment cards; therefore, it can offer an individual solution to each client. Because of these reasons, more students and older people are found among those Bank SNORAS clients who use the payment cards.

“We notice that gradually the senior people learn to use the Bank SNORAS payment cards, which grant them various privileges. While paying for the utilities and other fees with payment cards, even 5 times lower payment tariffs than while paying in cash are applied to both seniors and other customers of the bank,” says D. Bareikienė.

Taking into consideration the customers' needs, Bank SNORAS also expands the ATM network. During the first quarter of this year, the second largest Bank SNORAS ATM network in the country added four more ATMs, and presently the entire network comprises 340 ATMs. More than one-fifth of the whole ATM market belongs to Bank SNORAS.

Bank SNORAS, for many years keeping the third position according to the number of the issued payment cards, is an official representative of MasterCard payment cards in Lithuania. Since September last year, the bank has also been distributing the entire spectrum of VISA smart cards. In 2008 Bank SNORAS was the first on the market to introduce SNORAS SuperCard - an instantly issued MasterCard family credit payment card - which a client can obtain during a single visit to the bank.

At the end of the first quarter this year, Bank SNORAS had issued 690 thousand payment cards.
