EBRD signs loan agreement with LUKoil Overseas

The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and LUKoil Overseas have signed an agreement on USD180m financing for the development of the off-shore Shah Deniz gas and gas condensate field in Azerbaijan. The 12-year loan will be provided by the EBRD and a bank syndicate. The investment phase of the project is to be implemented before 2009, when the project is to be tested.
