It is said that Latvia is considering keeping a stake in the sea oil terminal of Ventspils. This is counter to earlier intentions to a 100 percent privatization of the port.
Russian companies are invited to participate in the port, but will not be allowed to own it completely as it is too important for Latvia’s economy.
The Latvian government still holds 38.6 percent in Ventspils.
