IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn to Visit Tokyo and Hong Kong SAR

Mr. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), will travel to Tokyo and Hong Kong SAR, January 18−20, 2010.

During his second official visit to Tokyo as the IMF’s Managing Director, Mr. Strauss-Kahn will meet with top officials of the Japanese government on January 18. The Managing Director will also participate in a town hall discussion with students and faculty at the University of Tokyo.

Following his visit to Japan, Mr. Strauss-Kahn will travel to Hong Kong to give a keynote speech at the Asian Financial Forum 2010 on January 20 on the global post-crisis financial landscape and Asia’s role in the new economic order. The forum is co-organized by the Hong Kong Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Mr. Strauss-Kahn will also meet with senior officials of the Hong Kong SAR Government to exchange views on world economic outlook and policies that are relevant to Hong Kong.
