LG Showcases Smart Living at IFA 2008

Under the theme of “Smart Technology and Stylish Design”, LGE exhibited an array of products, boasting state-of-the-art features and art-inspired looks.


“We have set trends in the consumer electronics industry worldwide by creating products with the most advanced technology and most insightful designs,” Managing Director LG Electronics Levant Operation, Mr. Cha said :“We are working to appeal to the sophisticated tastes of consumers around the globe, to help them enjoy smart and stylish living.”


LGE's displays at the show are divided into two areas, one for LG Digital Display and LG Digital Media Company and the other for LG Digital Appliance Company. LGE's booth is located at Hall 11.2 (Display & Media) and Hall 1.1 (Home Appliance). Highlights of LGE's participation at IFA 2008 include:


In its Digital Display section, LG showcased the LG Scarlet LG7000 feature-packed LCD TV with Intelligent Sensor technology that automatically adjusts screen brightness to match the ambient light in any room. The world's slimmest LCD TV (the Scarlet LG6100) was also on display at the IFA whose sleek, slim and sophisticated striking design is further accentuated by the TV's Invisible Speakers. LG's flagship LCD TV for 2008 the LG6000 with its advanced full HD was also exhibited. The LG6000's TruMotion 120Hz technology eliminates motion blur, even during fast-moving action sequences.


As for LG's Plasma Display Panel range, the 50-inch LGPG6000 which delivers high-quality home entertainment experience was showcased at the IFA, Viewers make this model their choice, grace of its startling clarity and unprecedented detail with deeper black levels and superior shadow detail. PG600 also boasts a single-layer frameless design, Dual XD engine and LG Super Bright Panel which provides brighter and clearer picture quality.
From another angle, the LGE BD300 Blu-ray disc player was also on display. BD300 supports BD Live (BD-ROM Profile 2.0) thus enabling users to connect to the internet and download video images, subtitles and other data as well as enjoy multi-player interactive games. LG's latest technology in DVD players was showcased at the show, represented by the DVS450H. This DVD player differs from conventional ones in that it can be set up horizontally, vertically, or mounted on a wall. It stands out with sophisticated smooth curves inspired by traditional Asian furniture and sports a glossy piano black finish which matches well with any home.


LG also exhibited its recently-launched network attached storage (NAS) N4B1 which offers integrated data management going beyond just data sharing to advanced data management features including a built-in Blu-ray drive and version management.
Also at the IFA show, LG presented its latest signature home theater system, the LG HT33S which was tuned by audio guru Mr. Mark Levinson and delivers pure HD sound quality, all in a unique and space-saving elegant and compact design.


The next step in technological evolution from the smartphone is brought forward by LG's X110 which is leading the next wave of new telecommunication-oriented devices, featuring trendy design and embedded 3G HSPA connectivity. Those combined with WLAN 802.11 b/g and 10/100 Ethernet for stable and fast connections means users can share information any time, any way, any place. The X110 differentiates itself from competitors with its advanced features such as a five-fold increase in storage capacity through its 80GB hard disk drive and its modern and chic design.
