EUROSTAT announced that Lithuania’s GDP rose by 6.1 % in the 3rd quarter of 2009 versus the previous quarter.
EUROSTAT announced that Lithuania’s GDP rose by 6.1 % in the 3rd quarter of 2009 versus the previous quarter. This makes it the steepest quarterly increase across the European Union. Lithuania was followed by Luxemburg (4.2 %) and Slovakia (1.6 %).
In comparison with the 3rd quarter of the previous year Latvia’s GDP shrank by 4 and Estonia’s by 3 %. Sweden accordingly grew by 0.2 %, Finland by 0.3 %, and Denmark as well as Poland by 0.6 %.
