International hotel chains are looking for partners in Lithuania in order to build their presence in the fast-growing hotel market of the country. All major hotels in the capital of Vilnius are already members of international chains.
Park Plaza Hotels Europe wants to make franchise agreements with Lithuanian hotels. Corinthia, another international hotel chain, is also looking for possibilities to expand its network into Vilnius.
“Lithuania is an attractive market in which international companies see growth prospects”, said Evalda Siskauskiene, President of the Lithuanian Hotel and Restaurant Association.
Nine international hotel chains are already present in Lithuania: Radisson SAS, Scandic Hotels, Le Meridien, Best Western, Relais & Chateaux, Summit, Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza and Reval Hotel Group. They run 11 hotels in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda.
At present there are 210 hotels in Lithuania.
