Bank WestLB Polska, specializing in offering services to corporate clients is planning to buy a retail bank - one problem - there are no candidates on offer. Its plans remain as ambitious as they were a year ago.
"We are looking to expand by including retail banking, but we have not succeeded in finding any appropriate institution," said Maciek Stańczuk, president of WestLB Polska. This year the bank predicts that it will post a gross profit of zł. 50 million. The bank, which started operating in 1995, has funds of zł. 224 million at its disposal.
