After a year of preparatory work Narbutas & Co., one of Lithuania’s major furniture producers, has successfully entered the U.K market. In the first 5 months of the year the company’s sales in the U.K. amounted to LTL 1.7 million (USD 430.000).
“Our company can design and produce furniture for different markets”, said Audrius Janiunas, Commercial Director of Narbutas & Co. In the U.K. Narbutas & Co. uses its own brand name. “Our brand name is not yet well known in the U.K., but things will change in a year or two, when the company’s sales in this market will reach LTL 8-10 million (USD 2-2.5 million)”, said Mr.Janiunas.
In the U.K. the company sells home furniture and aims at middle income clients. “Our target client is the one who wants good quality furniture for a reasonable price”, continued Mr.Janiunas.
Narbutas & Co. turnover in the first 5 months of the year was LTL 7.7 million (USD 1.9 million) or 67% higher than in the same period of the previous year.
In the nearest future the company plans to enter the Irish and German markets.
