New High-technology Production

Today PM of Kazakhstan Daniyal Akhmetov received the representatives of the board of Skoda Auto company and discussed prospects of assembly of Skoda cars in Kazakhstan, PM’s press service reports. During the meeting the Czech automakers informed the Head of the Government of the current practice and their potential in sphere of developing of this field in Kazakhstan. Basically, the subject considered was a project of organization of car production of the mentioned model at Ust-Kamenogorsk car assembly plant Asia auto. PM backed the idea of expansion of incomplete vehicle manufacture in the republic. The Government of Kazakhstan is interested and works purposefully in direction of creation in Kazakhstan new high-technology production that provides output of production with high value added and that the legislation of the country envisages a set of preferences and privileges towards the companies, conducive to this process. Head of the Government entrusted the Ministry of Industry and Trade to continue the negotiations with the representatives of JSC Skoda auto, in order that to sign an appropriate contract in near future.
