Moscow office of Compaq Computer corporation presented its new marketing program for spring and summer. The program is aimed at promotion of the most popular Compaq products. Compaq officials in Moscow say the program, named "100 days before vacations", to be the continuation and the extension of its "Compatibility and Quality against Crisis and Piracy" program, announced in December 1998. It should help Compaq partners to increase sales in Q2, 1999, and thus to get prepared to the coming vacation season. Compaq, in its turn, considers the new program as the next step to its strategic goal - taking the leadership among hardware vendors in Russia. The program, effective through Q2, 1999, includes offering special prices on various Compaq products to its business partners, flexible discount system, and a lot of marketing and advertising support from the corporation.
