Estonia: Norma, Optiva extend gains.
Published:
17 August 1999 y., Tuesday
Norma and Optiva Bank were quite popular on Wednesday. Both gained more than 2% from the previous closing. Norma closed at 43.10 EEK (+2.13%) and Optiva Bank closed at 11.95 EEK (+2.14%). During 8 trading days in August Norma has gained 18% and Optiva Bank has gained 16%. These are significant moves, considering that overall the market has been quite sleepy. 124,000 Norma shares and 150,000 Optiva Bank shares were traded on Wednesday. It seems that the marketing campaign for Norma has the full speed. All larger brokerage houses and banks have released buy recommendations lately. Probably everybody_s clients have many shares on their books. Hopefully Autoliv will make some kind of bid for Norma. So far nothing has happened for real.
