Seeking to increase sheet-metal production volumes, Stansefabrikken decided to move all company’s production from Lillesand (Norway) to Stansefabrikken’s successfully operating factories in Lithuania.

According to company’s officials, this production transfer, which is planned to be completed in spring 2010, will give them a more effective utilization of the investments and capacity which already exists in Lithuania.

Today Stansfabrikken has 2 factories in Lithuania:

•   Stansefabrikken Automotive UAB (SFA), which is oriented towards high volume production. SFA started up in 2007 and has the most modern machinery.
•   Stansefabrikken UAB (SFU), established in 2003, is a sub-supplier of sheet-metal products and is operating according to Scandinavian standards.

Both factories are certified according to the ISO: 9001 standard and have numerous international customers, many of whom were Stansefabrikken’s customers in Lillesand.

Today there are about 170 Stansefabrikken’s employees in Lithuania. Both factories are located side by side in newly renovated premises in an industrial park in the town of Ukmergė, about 70 km from the capital city Vilnius.

According to Stansefabrikken’s executives, they will keep the same high level of service and quality in their two factories in Lithuania as they had in Lillesand.
