Philip Morris Lithuania will invest another USD 20 million into upgrading and expansion of its production facilities

Philip Morris Lithuania will invest another USD 20 million into upgrading and expansion of its production facilities and will increase the annual production output from 5 to 20 billion cigarettes. It will become the biggest producer of cigarettes in the Baltic states.
“This investment into state-of-the-art technologies and expansion of production capacities will make it possible to export our products to many more countries”, said Raman Berent, Philip Morris Managing Director Baltic States.
The new equipment will be installed till mid 2005. Philip Morris Lithuania is situaded in the Free Economic Zone of the port city of Klaipeda in Western Lithuania.
