The reaction of investors in Russia to the dismissal of Prime Minister Sergei Stepashin clearly showed their incomprehension and dissatisfaction with the events, said Grigory Grushko, managing director of Aton brokerage. "It is impossible to make long-term investments in Russia. There is today, and there is tomorrow. What will be after that is impossible to predict," he said. One can estimate the ruble rate, GDP growth and other macroeconomic indicators in Russia, but it is not possible to evaluate the development of the political situation, Grushko added.
