Published: 30 January 2001 y., Tuesday
The Radisson SAS hotel chain, which came to Lithuania 3 years ago by opening Radisson SAS Astorija, a prestigious business class hotel in the old town of Vilnius, will open a new hotel in Klaipeda, the port city of Lithuania, on February 1st. Klaipeda, the port city of Lithuania, has been chosen because of its excellent economic development prospects and an increasing number of businessmen from Scandinavian countries, Germany, the USA, Russia and the Baltic States, demanding high quality hotel services. The new hotel has 75 rooms (including 5 suites), a conference hall, a restaurant with a bar, etc. and offers all the services that a businessman can expect in a high class hotel. The interior of the new hotel is of the New England marine style, conference and banquette halls have the names of famous ships, and the restaurant, which is called “Newport” will offer excellent international cuisine. The Radisson SAS hotel chain now operates 107 hotels (with another 30 still under construction) in 38 countries and 4 hotels in the Baltic States: 1 hotel in Latvia (Riga), 1 in Estonia (Tallinn) due to open and 2 hotels in Lithuania (Vilnius and Klaipeda).
