The State Ownership Fund (FPS) has until March 9 to check the validity of Eurocopter_s bid and if the bid is valid negotiations will hopefully start the next day.
She said the FPS, which relaunched the privatization of Intreprinderea Aeronautica Romana (IAR) last month after two aborted attempts, received the Eurocopter bid for 70 percent in IAR on February 28. Details of the bid were not available.
Eurocopter, a joint venture between Aerospatiale Matra and Daimler-Chrysler Aerospace (Dasa), has had a long relationship with IAR, which built Puma military helicopters under license.
