“SAS plans growth in Lithuania by buying an air company or expanding business via SAS group companies already operating in Lithuania,” said Joergenm Lindegard, President of SAS in an interview to Dow Jones Newswires. According to ULF Thorne, SAS PR manager, the company wants to expand in the North and East European flight market. The Polish press announced in October that SAS intends to buy Aviakompanija Lietuva (Aircompany Lithuania), the daughter company of Lietuvos Avialinijos (Lithuanian Airlines).
