SEB recently won awards for best consumer Internet banks in Lithuania and Latvia in a ranking presented by Global Finance Magazine. The ranking also says SEB Bank has the best corporate/institutional Internet bank in Lithuania.
Global Finance chose winners based on the following criteria: strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use web offerings, growth of online customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives, and web site design and functionality.
“Continuously investing in the development and security of our banking services provided via the Internet, we seek to offer top quality conditions for executing financial transactions in a prompt and convenient way. The international award for the best consumer, as well as corporate/institutional Internet bank, is a proof of this, as is the continuously increasing number of our e-banking services users,” Vytautas Sinius, head of Retail Banking Division of SEB Bank, says.
In a sub-category ranking, SEB received the award for best information security among consumer Internet banks in Central and Eastern Europe.
“In less than a decade, the Internet has transformed the way many consumers and most businesses bank,” says Joseph D. Giarraputo, publisher of Global Finance. “The continuing improvements in Internet offerings represented by this year’s entries show that more significant Internet banking developments are still ahead of us.”
