The first highway that will answer the international standards, is being constructed in the Western Kazakhstan. The road constructors have already finished the area Atyrau-Uralsk, from Atyrau city the border with West Kazakhstani oblast. 100 more kilometers of the road will be repaid till the end of the season. Reconstruction will be finished next autumn
The Italian company constructs the highway, but over 1000 Kazakhstani specialists and workers work on the road. During this summer the workers finished the area till the border with West Kazakhstani oblast.
- Covering of this highway can bear 10 tons on each axis of a car, the thickness of asphalt-concrete is 10 centimeters, says Ermenegildo Parlatore, «TODINI Constructioni Generali», area manager.
At some parts of the road, where it can be washed with flooding water, the stratum is 30 cm. The Uralsk drivers have to drive on the by-pass highways. It is dangerous to drive on such roads during the rain and they suffocate with duster in dry weather. The committee of car roads considers that it will be too .khabar.kzexpensive to cover the by-pass highways with ballast or gravel.
