I will support every proposal that strengthens cooperation among the European Union's Member States and serves Lithuania's interests," President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė said at the meeting with EU Member States' ambassadors resident in Lithuania.

Talking about Lithuania's foreign policy, President Dalia Grybauskaitė stressed that European integration, dynamic cooperation with EU Member States, euroatlantic relations, strengthening of Lithuania's territorial, energy and technological security as well as constructive relations with neighboring countries, built on reciprocal respect and mutual benefit, were among top priorities of Lithuania's foreign policy.

„By cooperating dynamically with the European Union, Lithuania has made huge progress in implementing energy and transport projects. The EU's Strategy for the Baltic Sea region is also a perfect instrument to enhance regional cooperation both with EU Member States and other countries of the region. I support, and will support in the future, every proposal that promotes European integration, strengthens cooperation among EU Member States and serves Lithuania's national interests," President Dalia Grybauskaitė underlined.

The President thanked the ambassadors for cooperation and for their efforts to develop economic relations between business communities of Lithuania and other countries of the EU.

This was the second meeting of the President with leaders of diplomatic missions of EU Member States. The meeting took place at the Embassy of Spain, which currently holds presidency of the EU.
