The State Development Program of Kazakhstan Sector

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev held a session devoted to execution of the State Development Program of Kazakhstan Sector of the Caspian, informs the press service of President. The purpose of the program is to promote sustainable economic growth of the country and improve the living quality of Kazakhstanis by means of rational and safe development of hydrocarbon resources of Kazakhstani sector on the Caspian Sea. At present the first stage of the program consisting of three levels is being implemented. It is planned to complete the program by 2015. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Vladimir Shkolnik reported on the process of execution of the program. During 1999-2003 as a result of research works on the Northern Caspian experts found several field, performed seismic exploration works and estimation of predicted resources of perspective sites. After the session President made some assignments on formation of scientific and technological base and training of the personnel.
