Lithuania‘s Baltik Vairas is the Fourth Biggest and Most Modern Bicycle Producer in Europe

Lithuania‘s Baltik Vairas, owned by the German company Schminkewerke GmbH, is the fourth biggest and most modern bicycle producer in Europe, with 98% of all the bicycles exported under the names of Goricke, Idukah, Shannon, Panther, Minerva, Pinny, Rondo, etc.
“We produce almost a thousand types of bicycles, which have different characteristics and different prices – everything depends on the wishes of our clients,“ says Stasys Plukys, Director of the Sales Department of Baltik Vairas.
At present the company has 700 employees. In 2002, the turnover of the company was EUR 40 million.
