Lithuania leads the new EU member states in harmonising its laws with acquis communautaire with only 1.2% of EU directives remaining to be transposed, according to a recent assessment of the European Commission.
Lithuania is also in one of the leading positions among 25 EU member states. It is #3, the leaders being Denmark and Spain.
“A positive assessment of the European Commission is very good for business, especially in the EU single market”, says Petras Austrevicius, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the EU Affairs of the Lithuanian Government.
