Oil and gas deliveries to Europe were a key subject of the Sunday [17 December] talks between the presidents of Ukraine and Poland, Leonid Kuchma and Aleksander Kwasniewski, in Odessa.
"Today fuel deliveries interest not only Ukraine and Poland but the whole of Europe," Kuchma said after the meeting.
Kwasniewski confirmed that they had focused primarily on oil and gas deliveries and also on projects proposed by Russia, the European Union and Poland.
He said Europe was trying to find new routes for fuel deliveries. "Ukraine should not be excluded from solving these issues," he added.
