Visitors of the World Expo 2010, which will open in the Chinese city of Shanghai on May 1st under the slogan “Better City, Better Life” and will last for 184 days until the end of October, are kindly invited to get into a hot air balloon at the Lithuanian Pavilion and experience an imaginary, however very realistic, journey to Lithuania –one of Europe’s greenest and cleanest countries with untouched unique nature, white-sand beaches and open-hearted people.

Lithuania ranks No. 1 in the world according to the number of air balloons per 1,000 residents. Lithuania’s capital is the only city in Europe that allows hot-air balloons to fly inside its airspace. Also, Lithuania is home to more women pilots than any other place in the world. Therefore, Lithuania’s presentation from the view of a hot air balloon flight in the World Expo 2010 is not a random choice.

These are just a few interesting facts about Lithuania which will be presented to the audience of 70 million people from all around the world at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai.
