Wincor Nixdorf intros new line of ProCash ATMs

Published: 31 May 2003 y., Saturday
According to a news release, the xe-series includes evolutionary technical product improvements, while maintaining the traditional Wincor exterior appearance and user interface. At the heart of the xe-series is an improved dispenser, which can process up to 60 banknotes per transaction. As well as increased processing speed, the dispenser's new note handling design means improved levels of availability for the entire system, according to the release. Another new feature is an intelligent deposit module that enables forms (checks, transfer forms) as well as cash to be processed within a compact space. The xe-series uses a new generation of card readers, certified to EMV 2000 and offering the latest security technology. Visually, the xe-series systems are the same as their predecessors. The ergonomic, user-machine interface is unchanged, and the systems have 12.1-inch or 15-inch LCD displays. The new generation of products fits easily into existing software architectures so all existing applications are compatible, according to the release.
