Nokia is supplying a centralized MMS system for TeliaSonera's networks in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, enhancing its multimedia messaging service by employing a single MMS system across the four Nordic countries.
The centralized system supplied by Nokia replaces different MMS solutions previously implemented in the individual countries.
TeliaSonera has already implemented the Nokia MMS Center for its Finnish affiliate. Now by employing the same MMSC also for its Danish, Swedish and Norwegian MMS customers, TeliaSonera will benefit from increased synergies and cost-savings.
Nokia has among the wireless industry's most extensive track record in MMS with over 50 customers to date and an ever-growing number of launched systems, making multimedia messaging a reality for today's mobile consumers.
