ATM Industry Awards

The ATM Industry Association has extended the deadline for nominations and applications until Sept. 30 for its 2005 global awards.

The extension will allow attendees of ATMIA’s North American ATM Debit Summit, which runs Sept. 14-16, to take part in competition.

The 2005 Awards for Best ATM Technology will be judged by three respected industry experts from Asia Pacific, the United Kingdom and South Africa. The judges’ recommendations will be passed on to the association’s worldwide membership for final selection.

The Best ATM Technology Award will be judged in three categories: hardware, software and ATM security.

Award categories

1. Lyle Elias Lifetime Achievement Award

This honor is granted to an individual to recognize long-term service (for at least ten years) of an exceptional nature to the ATM industry. Such an individual will be widely recognized by his/her peers as an exceptional and mature leader able to exert sustained positive influence on the industry and whose many achievements or successes in the industry have changed it for the better OR who has managed a business/operation in the ATM industry which is both highly successful and a model of industry best practice and business ethics.

- Nominations for this award may be submitted by ATMIA members and non-members and the winner is decided by the ATMIA Executive Board.

2. Most Influential Member Award

A. Individual Category

- Nominations for this award may be submitted by ATMIA members only and the winner is decided by an ATMIA Member vote. With this award, ATMIA is looking for a member who has exerted positive influence on the industry.

3. Best Contribution to the Industry

A. Individual Category
B. Organizational Category

- Nominations for this award may be submitted by ATMIA members and non-members and the winner is decided by an ATMIA Member vote.

4. Best ATM Technology

A. Hardware
B. Software
C. ATM Security

- Nominations for this award may be submitted by ATMIA members and non-members. Three appointed international judges will draw up shortlist of candidates. Winners will be decided by ant ATMIA member vote.

5. GASA Award

This honor is given to the company or individual who has made the best contribution to ATM crime fighting.

- Nominations for this award may be submitted by ATMIA members and non-members and the winner is decided by the GASA Executive Committee.
