ATMIA announces award nominees for Best ATM Technology

Judges for the ATM Industry Association have selected nominees for the 2005 Best ATM Technology awards.

According to a news release, the nominees were judged by three respected industry experts from Asia-Pacific, the United Kingdom and South Africa in three categories —hardware, software and ATM security.

From a list of two or three nominees per category drawn up by the judges, ATMIA members voted for winners in each category. Winners will be selected through a majority vote and announced in February at ATMIA East.

The following is a list of nomination finalists...

Hardware:

  • NCR Corp. for its Personas M Series’ “look and feel”
  • NCR Corp. for the its “deploy anywhere” Personas 71

Software:

  • Triton for its standard interface
  • Level Four Software for its ATM True Test
  • First National Bank (South Africa) for its use of an ATM as a sales and communication tool

ATM Security:

  • TMD Security for its Card Protection Kit
  • NCR Corp. for its Intelligent Fraud Detection system
