Australian Airline Wins Domain Name Court Case

Published: 28 December 1999 y., Tuesday
The airline is set to register the qantas.co.nz domain name, which was originally registered by the Domain Name Company Ltd - a company that trades in domain names. The New Zealand High Court ordered the Domain Name Company to deregister the domain name, saying that the registering of it was "a fraudulent appropriation of part of the goodwill attaching to (the Qantas) name."
