Award for the ProCash 4000 cash recycling system

Wincor Nixdorf’s new cassette-based cash recycling system, the ProCash 4000, has received the award for “Best Product at CIFTEE 2005” from the jury at CIFTEE (China International Exhibition on Financial Banking Technology & Equipment) in Peking. The CIFTEE jury was impressed by both its high-performance functionality and its ergonomic, compact design. CIFTEE is the large annual international exhibition for banking technology and IT in China. The fair is organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic and by the country’s central bank, the People's Bank of China.

In showing its products at this key event, Wincor Nixdorf had put its focus on what is currently one of the most important topics in the Asia-Pacific banking sector: automatic deposits using self-service technology. In addition to customers across China, customers in Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Bangladesh also made use of this opportunity to find out more about the full, extensive portfolio of deposit systems and solutions.

As early as June, Wincor Nixdorf had completed a successful pilot of its new ProCash 4000 cash recycling system at one of the leading Chinese banks and also a bank in Malaysia. The systems are now being used “for real” at the banks as deposit and combined deposit/withdrawal systems. High levels of customer acceptance were noted in the branches since piloting began.

The ProCash 4000 is a compact system using cassette technology. It counterfeit-checks deposited cash and then uses it for withdrawals, thus reducing costly, manpower-intensive replenishment activity to a minimum. The system is designed for traditional self-service environments for deposits and withdrawals by both private and business clients.

The use of cassette technology simplifies the handling of the system as well as emptying and replenishment. With its slimline design, the ProCash 4000 is superbly suited for use in small-footprint, compact spaces. At the development stage, special emphasis was placed on ergonomic design and ease of use by the consumer. The device meets all international ergonomics requirements.

The ProCash 4000 has five cassettes, up to four of which can be used for recycling. With a capacity of up to 12,500 banknotes/bills, the system is also ideally suited for high-volume deposits.
