DEALERS AND distributors are being told that the cut down AMD Sempr0n devices, originally slated for release on the 17th, will now be released earlier.
AMD told its dealers that the release date for the Sempr0ns will now be July 28th, while the channel will be receiving CPUs after the 10th of August.
The Sempr0n family, which AMD is positioning against Intel Celeron Ds, will gradually be phased in different clock speeds and with different features during the next few months.
The first ones will be based on the ancient Thoroughbred cores, we understand.
